What is KCET Rank Predictor 2017?
Owing to the large numbers of candidates applying for KCET for taking admission into the large number of government university, Private aided, Private unaided in professional educational institutions of Karnataka, a new method of ranking was established by the Government of Karnataka that is commonly known as the Karnataka CET Rank Predictor. This method was established in the year 1994. Since a large number of candidates appear for this exam thus many candidates score the same marks which at the time of counseling make admission in the same course very problematic. In order to avoid this hassle a KCET Rank Predictor for Medical & Engineering is used which helps the candidates in having the knowledge of the college, they will be eligible for.
How is KCET 2017 Rank Calculated?
KCET 2017 Rank will be calculated taking both the marks in the entrance exam and the marks scored in the 12th Standard of the candidate. For Example for a candidate who is appearing for admission in Medical or Engineering Course, his KCET rank will be based on the marks scored in the entrance exam and the marks scored in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry taken together in his Class 12. The rank will be calculated taking the50% of the marks obtained in the common entrance exam and 50% of the marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are taken. If even then the marks will be same then the marks scored in Mathematics in the entrance exam will be considered.

Candidates on clearing the Karnataka CET 2017 will be eligible for admission in the courses like Medical, Dental, Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Engineering / Architecture courses, Farm science i.e, B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Sericulture), B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc(Forestry), B.Sc. Agri Bio Tech, BHSc.(Home Science), B.Tech (Agri.Engg), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Tech), B.FSc (Fisheries), B.Tech (Food Science &Tech)., B.Sc. (Agri. Marketing & Co-Op), B-Pharma, Pharma-D courses. However the admission in the following courses will be strictly on the bases of the marks scored in the KCET along with the marks scored in Class 12 of the relevant subject.
