About DU
Dravidian University is located in Srinivasa Vanam, in Dravidian University Rd, in Agaram, in Kuppam, in the district of Chittoor, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, in South India. It was founded in 1997.  It was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, through a Legislature Act (No. 17 of 1997). It is to be remembered that with the wholehearted support given by the governments of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for an integrated development of Dravidian culture and languages. At present, it functions with 6 Research Centers and 20 academic departments. It is to be noted that the languages of Dravidian family comes with more than 27 tongues. Most of these languages are very ancient and considered as living language family of the world. On the other hand, in to the cultural mosaic of India, these are termed as one of the richest contributors. A team of scholarly community, checks whether the contribution of Dravidians towards Indian culture, history, philosophy and literature are adequately and properly evaluated with a lot of perfection. This particular University aims to promote strong bonds of fraternity and a spirit of integration among the major Dravidian language. It wholeheartedly welcomes the participation of the people of Southern states in order to indulge in the advanced research studies in the integrated body of lmguico-cultural heritage of Dravidians.

DU Campus
The campus of Dravidian University is located at the tri- lingual junction, in Kuppamin in the district of Chittoor District, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, approximately four hours drive to Kerala, 4 km, away from Karnataka and 8 km away from Tamil Nadu. It is conceived as an Inter – State Institution. Within the vast campus, there are main four buildings are named after the great Social Saints of the South India who actually enshrined the native language cultures with their large immortal thoughts. The large buildings are Basava Bhavan for Kannada language, Narayanaguru Bhavan for Malayalam language, Thiruvalluvar Bhavan for Tamil language and Vemana Bhavan for Telugu language. As a token of reverence for the grace of Lord Venkateswara, Sri Srinivasa, the campus is wholeheartedly named Srinivasa Vanam. The afforestation of the campus, the benevolent grant was extended by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. The campus comes with exotic beauty which is defying description and enchanting, undulating terrains with green top and natural landscape.

DU Facilities
The facilities of Dravidian University come with many schools and its department. They are the School of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies, this comes with the Department of Tulu Language and Translation Studies, Department of Telugu Language and Translation Studies, Department of Tamil Language and Translation Studies, Department of Malayalam Language and Translation Studies,  Department of Kannada Language and Translation Studies, Department of English Language and Communications and Department of Comparative Philosophy and Religion, the School of Human and Social Sciences comes with Department of Dravidian and Computational Linguistics, Department of Traditional Knowledge And Manuscriptology, Department of History, Archeology and Culture, Department of Folklore and Tribal Studies and Department of Comparative Philosophy and Religion, the School of Education and Human Resources Development comes with Department of Physical Education, Department of Language Teaching Technology and Department of Education and Human Resources Development, the School of Herbal studies and Naturo Sciences comes with Department of Molecular Biology, Department of Herbal Science, Department of Environmental Science, Department of Chemistry and Department of Biotechnology, the School of Information Sciences and Technology comes with Department of Mathematical Sciences, Department of Library and Information Science and Department of Computer Science and School of Commerce and Management comes with Department of Commerce and Department of Business Management.

Centre for Distance Education
Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) of Dravidian University offers to widen axis to provisional programmes, Certificate, Under Graduate, P.G. Diploma and Postgraduate through the distance mode.

DU Admission Procedure 2018-2019
The Mode of Admission is done as per the merit in the entrance examination except the following courses such as B.Ed.:, MCA/MBA: ICET, EdCET, TPT and LPCET. On the other hand, there is no Entrance Test for Certificate, Diploma & P.G. Diploma Courses. The Common Entrance Test comes in the form of Group I and Group II for certain courses. The interested student can directly obtain application for admission from the Directorate of admission or the specially arranged sales centers, by paying the prescribed fees or charges in the form of demand draft or Challan. It is to be remembered that from the date of notification, a minimum of just one month time period is prescribed for receiving filled in application.

Dravidian University Exams 2018
With prior notification, the University exams are conducted in the months of April/May for M.A.,Philosophy, M.A.,Linguistics, B.Ed.,Education, M.Ed.,Education, M.A. English, M.A.,Folklore, Triballore & Cultural Tourism, M.Sc.,Herbal Sciences, M.A., History, M.A., Kannada, M.A., Malayalam, M.A., Tamil,  M.A., Telugu, Certificate course in Tulu, M.Sc., Biochemistry, M.Sc., Biotechnology, M.Sc., Botany, MBA, M.Sc., Chemistry (Organic), M.Com, MCA, M.Sc., Computer Science, M.L.I.Sc., Library Science, M.Sc., Mathematics, M.Sc., Microbiology, M.Sc., Physics, M.A., Rural Development Management, M.S.W. Social Work, M.A.,Sociology, M.Sc.,Statistics and M.Sc., Zoology. Its bachelor and diploma and certificate course of the departments. The courses that have semester system, the semester examinations are largely conducted according to the given schedule. The directorate of examination allots the hall tickets in time with its time table. The results are published just after two or three months after conducting it.
