The teachers must not only be judged on the basis of their educational qualification because some person might have scored really well all throughout, but when it comes to explaining the subject matter or handling the students, he might be very bad at it. So, in the competitive exam there is a section where the teacher’s ability to deal with students also come under scrutiny. A candidate is judged overall to see whether he or she will be able to become a good teacher or not.

About Central Teacher Eligibility Test
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi and none other than the Ministry of Human Resource Development has entrusted this responsibility on them. This test will bring up the national standards as well as the benchmark of the quality of the teachers while recruiting.

Eligibility Criteria of CTET September 2018
The candidates who wish to apply for the CTET SEPT 2018 must satiate the following eligibility criteria prior to the application process:
• The candidates must be a citizen of India
• The candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and
• They must have passed or appeared in the final exam of the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education
• Or, the candidates who have appeared for or passed the 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.)
• Or, have passed the 2 year Diploma in education can also apply for the exam
• The students who have appeared for the final year exam can also apply
• In case of the reserved category, there is a relaxation of 5% provided as per the State Govt. regulations
• The candidates who have cleared or appeared for the 4 year B.Sc. Ed/ B.A or B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed can apply for the Upper Primary Section (VI – VIII) entrance exam
• The Rehabilitation Council of India authorized Diploma certificates are only eligible

Application Process in CTET September 2018
The candidates need to follow the instructions mentioned below if they are willing to complete the application process successfully:
• The candidates will have to visit the official website at www.ctet.nic.in and apply online
• There they will have to register with their basic details that includes a valid email address and a mobile number
• After the registration is complete they will be made available with the login credentials
• Using that they can login and access the application form
• They need to fill up the application form online with all the correct details
• Then the scanned photographs and signature must be uploaded wherever it is mentioned
• Now the candidates can pay the amount online using the debit card or the credit card or they can visit any Syndicate Bank branch or HDFC bank and pay through bank challan
• Upload the transaction details and after verifying the details submit the online application form
• A confirmation page will pop up, the candidates must keep a copy of that for future reference

Application Fee of CTET September 2018
The General / OBC candidates will have to pay Rs. 600 if they are applying for one of the two papers and Rs. 1000 if they are applying for both the papers. Whereas, the SC/ ST/ Differently Abled candidates will have to pay Rs 300 for one paper and Rs. 500 for both the papers.

Age Limit of CTET September 2018
The candidates need to be a minimum of 21 years of age to apply for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

Admit Card of CTET September 2018
The admit card will be made available online prior to the commencement of the examination. The candidates are requested to download the admit card and take a printout of the same, so that they can carry it to the examination hall.

Results of CTET September 2018
The results for the entrance test will be declared online and the candidates will be able to check it be entering their roll number in the designated place.

Important Dates in CTET September 2018
For the successful application process, the candidates need to make a note of the following important dates:
• The online application form will be made available to the candidates by the middle of July 2015
• The application can be submitted till the last week of August 2018
• The exam will be held in the 3rd week of September 2018
• Results will be announced by 2nd week of October 2018
• Counselling process will start by last week of October 2018
